Southwest Cuts Seven St. Louis Routes

Southwest Airlines will discontinue seven routes from St. Louis Lambert during the third quarter of 2026 as part of its network strategy.

The affected destinations include Des Moines, Little Rock, Tulsa, Wichita, Oklahoma City, Long Beach and San Jose.

Despite the cuts, St. Louis remains Southwest’s 11th busiest airport with nearly 10,000 scheduled departures this quarter.

The airline is shifting capacity toward major hubs like Nashville, Denver and Chicago Midway to improve network connectivity.
